June 19, 2008: Adriana Lima has a late lunch at Bar Pitti with a male friend on Thursday in the West Village, NYC. The 27-year-old Victoria’s Secret model spotted the paparazzi and made some hand gestures toward them. Her friend then decided to take a few photos of the paparazzi. • Adriana and Marko are Engaged!!!

Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima received an engagement ring Thursday night – her birthday – from basketball star Marko Jaric, his rep tells PEOPLE. "He asked and she said yes. They are both incredibly happy and couldn't be more in love," says publicist James Weir. Lima, who turned 27 on Thursday, and Jaric, 29, who plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves, have been dating for about nine months. The normally stoic Serb sports star has admitted he fell hard for the Victoria's Secret beauty. "I was not the person to fall in love easily. I am a difficult person from that standpoint," he told PEOPLE in March. "Now, it's a little different situation."

• VSFS is moving to Miami!

CBS Television will air this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show from the newly renovated Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach. The show will air later this year and feature super-models such as Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller, and Miranda Kerr in a holiday theme infused lingerie show. Previous editions of the show featured red carpet coverage, model profiles and musical guest performances intermingled with the the runway fashion show which presents Victoria’s Secret’s latest lingerie designs.

April 26, 2008: Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima has rarely been seen out with a man on her arm, and thats just the way she wants to keep it. After spotting our photographer, the two lovebirds separated and walked on opposite sides of the street until they thought the coast was clear. Adriana and boyfriend, Serbian basketball player Marko Jaric currently with the Minnesota Timberwolves had been enjoying lunch and a long island iced tea or two at a Manhattan restaurant.

• Adriana and Marko in NYC

Adriana and Her Boyfriend Marko were at Serafina (on 55th and Broadway) last saturday, April 26.

And two lucky fans meet Adriana there, look what they said:

On Saturday at around 3:45pm, Yari spots Adriana Lima arriving at a table across from ours at Serafina on 55th and Broadway. Before leaving, we decided to take a photo with her. I went up to her, apologized for interrupting and told her we were big fans. She then extended her hand and said, "Hi, my name is Adriana" with her thick Brazilian accent. I introduced myself, then Yari introduced herself. Adriana then introduced her friend, Marcos (Marko, her boyfriend) sitting with her. I asked Adriana if we could take a photo, she said "Do you have a camera?", I whipped it out from under my sweater, then she asked Marcos to take the photo.

She stood up from the table and walked over to us, she was so tall, then again we're pretty short. That's when Yari asked if we should stand on a chair, but we don't think she got the joke. We took the photo (I was so nervous I could barely smile properly), then Yari thanked her and Marcos. She nodded saying it was nothing. Then I also thanked her as I was walking away and she nodded again saying it was nothing and winked at me. Overall she was very poised, kinda of serious but generous and accommodating. Needless to say she looked even more beautiful in person than in her photos. It was an unforgettable encounter.

For the last month or so, supermodels Karolina Kurkova , Adriana Lima and Doutzen Kroes have all been paying daily visits to the Aerospace Gym in the meatpacking district, according to Michael Olajide Jr., the gym’s co-founder and a former champion boxer-cum-fitness expert, who was been giving them special one-on-one boxing instruction. Mr. Olajide, 45, was born in Liverpool, and came up in the ring in Vancouver, until his contract was purchased by Madison Square Garden in 1986. In a title fight against Tommy Hearns in 1990, he suffered irreparable damage to his right eye, and now wears a stylish custom-made silver patch over it. He has become the go-to guy for getting stars a nice boxer’s physique in record time. He worked with Will Smith for Ali, and Josh Hartnett and Aaron Eckhart for The Black Dahlia.

But recently, models and their agents have also zeroed in on Mr. Olajide’s workout regimen to “sleek-ify” their bods before a big cover shoot. “Adriana started coming in for the GQ cover, Karolina is doing some magazines and had a G.I. Joe movie, and Doutzen has a Calvin campaign coming up, I think,” Mr. Olajide said. The boxer and his partner, former ballet dancer, Leila Fazel, are just about to release a new workout video called CTBS, which stands for Cut the Bullshit. On a recent Monday, the Transom tried to make it through one of their hourlong Aero-3 classes, also a favorite of the models; it involves a lot of punching, jumping rope, squatting, push-ups and weights. “I think they like it because it doesn’t bulk the body,” Mr. Olajide said. “It definitely lifts the ass and narrows the waist. Karolina hits hard,” he shared. “Doutzen loves the jump rope, she used to speed-skate. Adriana loves the mitts and the speed bag.” Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein is also a client of the gym, Mr. Olajide said. “He’s not a ropes guy … but put it this way, you don’t want to get hit by him.” Reps for the models and Mr. Weinstein did not return calls.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Marko Jaric is over the moon about his relationship with Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima. But don't believe rumors that he's shopping for engagement rings. At least, not yet. The couple have been dating for the last six months, but Jaric says he was perplexed by a Web-based rumor about his checking out the local jewelry store for the big stone.

"I am not shopping right now," Jaric, 29, tells PEOPLE. "But I could start tomorrow. I am that close. I'm definitely not yet engaged, but it doesn't mean we're not thinking about it." At that point, the entire process may come as a surprise. "I would rather keep that my own secret," says Jaric. "It's a life decision ... a private thing." Adriana is currently promoting the BioFit Bra in Los Angeles, she started the morning by doing an interview with Adriana for Fox LA, and then Karolina and Adriana headed over to the Grove Victoria's Secret Store to promote the bra which started at noon, the signing for autographs and pictures start at 6pm and ends at 8pm. It is suspected that the girls are doing press during the time break, because we can't believe they would be just promoting the bra for 6 hours. Adriana will be at the Grove Victoria's Secret Store in Los Angeles at next March 04, promoting the new biofit bra. After the launch she will be taking photos with fans who bought the bra and signing autographs. It is expected there will be a lot of press since this is such a huge bra launch, the biggest bra innovation since the IPEX!! And the commercial from the Biofit Bra is on air, we will try to captured it! Also, there is a new VS Garden scent, Sweet Daydream. The scent has a blend of apples, raspberries, and vanilla. NEW YORK — Late-game Super Bowl advertisers scored extra ratings points for their bucks as viewership for the cliffhanger between the New England Patriots and New York Giants surged north of 100 million.
The single most-seen ad in the game, media ratings service The Nielsen Co. reported Thursday, aired in the fourth quarter: At 9:44 p.m. ET, 103.7 million viewers watched sultry Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima flirt in lingerie.
"It was a bargain relative to all other media and advertising," says Ed Razek, chief creative officer for Limited Brands, (LTD) which owns Victoria's Secret. "We're very pleased with the results. Well today is the day Adriana fans have been waiting for! The Superbowl Commercial! Adriana will star solo in the spot as we told you last month. Some of you may not know but Adriana staring in a Superbowl commercial is the dream of any model past, present or future. Someone that Adriana admires Cindy Crawford, starred in a superbowl commercial in 1991 and it shot her to superstar status, and we know and hope it will do the same for Adriana. Adriana has been the only supermodel to have a commercial since Cindy. SO remember to watch, and say goodbye to the title "Adriana Lima the Victoria's Secret Supermodel" As today she will take the title of "Adriana Lima the Supermodel".
